Ever since I was a little girl, I have loved planning. Lists, sticky notes, calenders and planners- I love it all. As a middle and high school teacher a pack of sticky notes was my best tool for teaching. Books and notebooks became covered in the little colored tabs, markers for favorite lines, ideas, and places to refer to later.
So it comes to no surprise to me that as I step into homeschooling this month, I am on the edge of my seat, can't sleep, excited about all the possible things my children and I can to together.
For me learning is not a stop and go process, and it is best experienced by doing- making and living. I decided the best way to begin is how I begin each school year with a list. The kids and I came up with different topics we'd like to explore.
Here's our list:
Horses and Ponies
Magic and Mermaids
Each week, on Thursday, I'll be posting our latest crafts and activities associated with the weekly theme. If you have a great idea that connects to one of these topics, please link up or share in the comments on this post or when the topic is posted.
In the meantime, I have been looking at this site a lot today! Regardless of your summertime plans or even if you have children, there are so many cool things to create! I think we're going to start with this!
Happy Summer Days and List Making to you!
